Personality:

As Maaya's best friend, Atsushi has gained some traits from him, albeit being slightly less fierce. Atsushi is mellow and laid-back, a playful character with a big heart. He loves his friends, but can hold grudges.
When not at the basketball court, Atsushi is usually found playing games or hanging out with friends. He likes girls and is always searching for a date. Though he often goes with girls, it rarely leads anywhere, except from his relationship with Eri, which lasted a while.
Basket ball is his passion, but he also wants to work in social services, much thanks to Maaya's relationship with Aki, and where that lead to. At the same time, he doesn't always like Aki that much.
Had to quit basketball after injuring his knee in his senior year of Highschool and goes on to major in Sociology at the university of Kyoto.
He's not the smartest of the bunch, but has the ability to cheer anyone up, and is fairly social. Since he's not so good at school work, and has no job, Maaya often refers to him as a slacker. In return, Atsushi was the one who dubbed Aki and Maaya 'the Anarchist and the Idealist'.
